CT Connections: A Trusted Leader in Corporate Travel, Now and Always

Our commitment to partnerships and progress means our clients don’t just hear about industry change; they experience the real benefits, well ahead of the curve.

As the travel industry continues to evolve, so does the way airlines distribute their content. From 1 July, Qantas will enhance its New Distribution Capability (NDC) – a next-generation booking content designed to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and offer a more personalised traveller experience.

At CT Connections, we’re proud to be at the forefront of this change. In fact, we were the first Australian Travel Management Company (TMC) in the world to successfully book Qantas NDC content using Zeno by Serko. This early adoption means we’re already ahead of the curve – and more importantly, our clients are too.

So, what is NDC and why does it matter?

NDC is a content that allows airlines to offer richer, more dynamic options directly to travel agents and booking tools, often with exclusive rates or bundled offers that are not available through traditional distribution systems.

In Qantas’ case, this means a shift away from legacy booking technology to a more streamlined and cost-effective model.

What NDC benefits will you enjoy as one of our clients?

Because we will be part of the Qantas Premium Channel, our clients will benefit from:

  • Average savings of around 8% on domestic Qantas fares through NDC, in addition to any existing corporate discounts.
  • Avoiding new EDIFACT surcharges, which apply to traditional (EDIFACT) GDS content. From 1st July, bookings made outside the Qantas NDC channel will incur new EDIFACT surcharges of up to $11.50 per sector. But for CT Connections clients, that’s a fee they won’t have to worry about!
  • A seamless booking experience in Zeno or via our dedicated Travel Team
  • Access to the full breadth of Qantas content, including exclusive NDC-only offers: for example, enhanced servicing, bonus status credits & points, and free seating for Qantas Bronze Frequent Flyers
  • Recognition as a Qantas Frequent Flyer with special offers based on status
  • More visibility on the Qantas Points and Status Credits earn for an itinerary
  • Discounted fares and tailored offers for Qantas Business Reward members
  • Confidence that their travel program is supported by a TMC that’s aligned with major airline innovation and technology direction.
  • No disruptions from upcoming changes like the Qantas Channel termination – we’re already prepared, so they don’t have to be.

We’re ready!

While others in the industry are still weighing up the implications, we’ve been preparing for this shift for years, and we’re best positioned to help you stay ahead of the curve.

Our technology is ready, our team is trained, and we’re closely monitoring the rollout to ensure the same high standard of service you expect.

If you’d like to understand how NDC will affect your business travel program or would like to discuss what bespoke offers are available for your business, please reach out to CT Connections.
