By 11 June 2015March 3rd, 2022News, Travel Alert

Due to a number of confirmed cases of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) in South Korea, travellers planning to visit or transit the country from affected countries in the Middle East will be subjected to health screens at the airport. Individuals who display symptoms such as fever or elevated temperature will be asked to undergo further testing by South Korea health officials.

Airports around the world have also put in place heightened screening of arrivals from South Korea and the Middle East, with some taking the extra precaution of warning their citizens to avoid unnecessary travel to the affected areas.
