China: Eastern coastal areas: Anticipate disruption following landfall of Typhoon Chan-Hom, defer non-essential travel until after storm has passed.

Heavy rainfall, strong winds and associated disruption should be expected in eastern coastal areas due to the passage of Typhoon Chan-Hom, which made landfall in Zhoushan (Zhejiang province) at 16.40 (local time) on 11 July.

More than 1m people have been evacuated in Zhejiang, around 163,000 in Shanghai and more than 78,900 others across Jiangsu due to poor weather conditions.

More than 600 flights were cancelled at airports across Zhejiang on the day.
